The Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) is inviting its members to nominate a candidate for a vacant position on its Board. The term is for two years, from May 2026 to November 2027 (AAC), with the possibility of re-election.
Eligibility criteria: · Affiliation with an APQN Full or Intermediate member institution (mandatory) · Base of operations in one of the following regions: - Pacific, Oceania - East Asia - Southeast Asia · Extensive work experience in quality assurance of higher education (verified by relevant documents) · Commitment to education, quality assurance, and the mission and values of APQN · English proficiency · Ability to travel and participate in the Annual Academic Conference and Annual General Meeting The election will be conducted in accordance with the procedures set out in the APQN Constitution (2025 edition). About the Board The Board of APQN consists of the President, Immediate Past President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer (“ex-officio”), four elected and four co-opted directors. The Board of Directors oversees and administers the APQN’s overall operations and affairs. The role of the Board is to actively promote the functions provided for in the Constitution, and implement the decisions of the General Council. No two elected/co-opted Board Directors should be from the same member organization/same country. The current composition of the Board can be seen here: https://apqn.net/aboutapqn/The_Board.htm. Board Directors serve as members or leaders of the following committees: - the Executive and Finance Committee; - the Membership Review Committee; - the Editorial Committee; - the Organizing Committee of the APQN Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting. The Board operates primarily online and through electronic communication, and Board Directors are expected to contribute to online discussions and decision-making. Board service is voluntary.
