Proof of recognition as a Higher Education Institution: JUSTIFICATION FOR THE INTEREST IN JOINING THE APQN The quest for quality and excellent higher education programs is truly an endless pursuit. It is elusive, life consuming task, complicated but rewarding and fulfilling when the mission, vision and goals are shared by every one in the university. The quest has to start passing through the rough, winding and at certain point in time smooth road. In view of the above, membership of the American International University-Bangladesh in the Asia Pacific Quality Network will: 1. Help the institution to lead the way to the road of excellence. 2. Utilize the resources available for development, for progress and for repackaging new technology to suit to the needs and demands of the globally competitive higher education. 3. Contribute to the framing of the guidelines for establishing a quality assurance agency in the country 4. Propose tools and best practices (learned from APQN members) that can assist the agency in assessing quality and relevance of higher education. 5.
