Proof of recognition as a Higher Education Institution: In brief, Villa College is the first registered private Higher Education College in the Maldives. As a quality oriented, higher education institution, the aim of Villa College is to ensure that all its academic activities are internationally standardized and the process for the exchange of quality theories and implementation of best practices are institutionalized. Villa College has a well-staffed Quality Assurance mechanism; the Institute for Academic Development. IAD oversees a broad spectrum of academic activities of the College, to ensure that the Standards set for its Quality Assurance are met with. The Institution ensures that checks and balances are established to align the academic standard of the College with the Maldives Qualification Authority and affiliated Universities such as the Open University of Malaysia, professional bodies such as ACCA, BTECH and CIMA. The Villa College and its curricula are accredited by the Maldives Qualification Authority of the Ministry of Education. As an institutional member of APQN, we expect to learn good practices for ensuring Quality Assurance and its implementation, receive all publications of APQN and be involved in activities and events of APQN.
