Nominee Application Form: Part C Please write a professional profile of 500 words. Professional Summary Description: I have worked in education all my working life. This includes primary, secondary and tertiary teaching. I was Head of the School of Visual Performing and Media Arts , and Chair of Academic Board at Deakin University, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) and Pro Vice Chancellor (Community Engagement at Swinburne University of Technology. I have had extensive experience of supervision of higher degrees by research and am also asked to examine theses at this level. rnI have been an AUQA auditor since AUQA's establishment and am now completing two TEQSA audits. In that role I have conducted audits of Universities, NSAIs and State Government Acreditation Agencies. rnI have acted internationally as an auditor in Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Bahrain and Hong Kong. rnI have worked as a regulator for the Victorian Government, chairing the Ministerial advisory committee for some time. rnI have served for nine years as a councillor in local government, including two terms as MayorrnI am now working as a consultant and my work has been quite varied. It has ranged from preparation for audit, assistance with approval applications, organisational restructure, strategic review and planning, staff performance appraisal, risk assessment. rnI am involved in pro bono work for arts organisations, and for the African and Afghanistan communities in Melbourne.
