Professional Summary Description: I began my professional career as Obstetrician-Gynecologist after Internship and Postgraduate Professional Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Almaty, Kazakhstan. I completed my dissertation and awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Science in Clinical Pharmacology that was close connected with my experience in development of the National Formulary System, Therapeutics Guidelines and as the coordinator and facilitator for WHO/Euro Programmes for Central Asia Regions â??Problem â?? based teaching of pharmacotherapyâ? and â??Rational Use of Medicinesâ? and allowed to participate in KOICAâ??s International Programme â??Safety of Drugsâ? in collaboration with Korea Food & Drug Administration. I completed my Doctoral dissertation and awarded the degree Doctor of Medical Science in Clinical Pharmacology in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I changed the focus of my research to medical education and became the Director of Center for Medical Education at the Karaganda State Medical University after my involvement to AMEE activities since 2004 as AMEE Member and that is allowed me to understand the main international trends in medical education, successfully complete ESME Course and the ESME Portfolio and enabled me to encourage my colleagues to be involved and complete RESME, ESTEME, ESMEA AMEE Courses. The Faculty development as the strategic direction for changes in medical education and identification of own educational needs and development the programme for Kazakhstan medical teachers to meet them became my special interests in medical education that was supported my colleagues from UK, US Universities Medical Schools. I continue my expertise in medical education as the Director of the Project of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan â??Reform of Medical Education in the Republic of Kazakhstan 2010â?.
At the same time I was the Head of the KSMU Quality Assurance Council and responsible person for establishment and improvement of the Quality Management System at Karaganda State Medical University that has been assessed and approved by NQA Global Assurance Limited, UK-NQA-Russia.
I was invited as External Advisor to the WHO/WFME Strategic Partnership Programme for Improvement of Medical Education in CIS (Russian Speaking Countries) and my experience include the participation in Pilot study of WFME Global Standards for Postgraduate Medical Education at Karaganda State Medical University; the translation into Russian WFME Global Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education European Specification; involvement to the USAID/AIHA Project â??Accreditation for Basic Medical Education for Central Asia Regionâ? and the establishment of National Accreditation System for Medical Education in Kazakhstan, development of Guidelines for Medical Education Accreditation Process and the Training Programme for National Experts for Accreditation of Medical Education in collaboration with WHO/WFME Advisors, Ministry of Health, National Accreditation Center, Ministry of Education & Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. I am currently the Senior Expert of the National Accreditation Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
