Professional Summary Description: Since my Graduation from the Faculty of Engineering ,Cairo University I worked as an academic staff member in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Assiut University. I has been appointed as Professor of Heat Trasfer in Sebtember 1982.
- I spent 5 years as an Assciate Professor at King AbdulAziz University,KSA on leave from Assiut University 1977-1982.
- I was appointed in the following Positions:
- Head, Thermo-fluid section ,Mechanical Engineering School, KAAU,KSA
1981-1982.
- Vice Dean for graduate studies and research,Faculty of Engineering ,
Assiut University, 1994-2000.
- Dean of Engineering, Assiut University, 2000-2002.
-Vice President for graduate studies and research, Assiut University,
2002-2003.
- I am a member or ex member of the following societies:
- Syndicate of Egyptian Engineers.
- Society of Egyptian Mechanical Engineers.
- Egyptian Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers.
- International Solar Energy Society.
- Egyptian and american Sections of Solar Energy Society.
- Author and co-author of more than 60 scientific papers in the areas of
heat transfer, solar energy, refigeration and air conditioning and
agriculture engineering. Co-author of two books on heat transfer and
solar energy.
- Supervised about 25 M.S. and Ph.D. students in Assiut University and
South VAlley University.
- Contributed in about 6 funded research projects and many QA projects.
- Designed and supervised the execution of mor than 70 professional
mechanical engineering projects in the area of air conditioning and
other thermal projects as a consultant engineer.
- I presented Assiut University as an education deligate in the Euro- Mediteeranian Open University(TETYS), 2000-2005.
-Since 1997, I have participated in many QA and Accreditation activities
on the faculty, university, and the national levels. I participated as a
member, then as a director of the Assiut University QAA center since
1997. I participated as a member of the steering bcommittee of the
FORD QAA project in EGYPT and contributed in the efforts to initiate
the EGYPTIAN Authority of QAA of Eduction(NAQAAE). I has been
appointed as a member of the first Board of Directors of NAQAAE.
