Professional Summary Description: "I completed my doctoral studies in Ukraine in 1991. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer Grade I, attached to the Department of Economics and Statistics of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL). I have been working in this Department since September, 1997. I conduct lectures for undergraduate subjects such as Advanced Macro Economics, Monetary Economics and Applied Economics In both Sinhala (Native Language) and English media. I also evaluate the term papers, exam scripts and presentations of the said subjects. In addition, I supervise dissertations of final-year students who are majoring in Economics. Apart from my teaching activities, I am engaged in valuable researches in topics such as migration, economic growth and child care. I also served as an Academic Warden for the university female hostels for three years and as a university student counselor for two years. I had the opportunity to serve Sabaragamuwa University as an administrative officer: Acting Vice Chancellor of the SUSL at four instances, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages and the Head of the Department of Social Sciences.
