Professional Summary Description: Dr. Wafa Abdul Rahman Almansoori is a Senior Director in the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training, Higher Education Review Unit, Kingdom of Bahrain. She also serves on the External Reviewer Board for Oman Accreditation Council, Saltanat OmanShe received her B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Bahrain in June 1996, her Master Degree in Microelectronic Systems and Communications from the University of Liverpool, UK in Oct. 1997, and her PhD Degree in electronics from Tufts University, USA in Feb. 1996. Dr. Wafa joined the Quality Assurance Project in 2007 and assisted in the development of the Higher Education Review System and participated in the pilot projects. Prior to her joining the Quality Assurance Authority, Dr. Almansoori was a faculty member of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering, University of Bahrain. Apart from her teaching responsibilities she was an active member of the departmental Accreditation Committee. She also served as the coordinator of the Electronics group and the Master Programs, and on a number of ad-hoc committees assigned with program reviews. Her Research Interest is within the areas of Teaching & learning and Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and its application of ICT in Society Development. rnDr. AlMansoori is a member in: Arab Network of Women in Science & Technology (ANSWAT), Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), the Federation of Arab Engineers-Information Communication Technology (FAE-ICT).
