Proof of recognition as a Higher Education Institution: In order to provide Quality Education, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology is striving hard and adopted dynamic changes in the education system. Working on the above mission, the University implemented Quality Management System under ISO 9001:2000 and was certified in September 2003. Proceeding to the same pace of development, the University maintained its quality and re-certified for further three years upto September 2009 by an International Certification Agency M/S Lloyds Register Quality Assurance under ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) has also been established in the University under the Quality Assurance Agency of Higher Education Commission. The QEC is on the way of developing quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standard of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject and staff development, together with research and other scholarly activities. The QEC serves as the king pin to achieve the objective of quality learning standards by auditing academic standards and the quality of teaching, learning and management in each subject area. It will promote public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees, management and over all quality of knowledge being imparted by the institutions are enhanced and safeguarded.
